Smarter Digestion, Deeper Insight: Improving LC-MS of Therapeutic mRNA

Combining optimized digestion and CE tuning for better sequence and cap detection.

About This Webinar

Therapeutic mRNAs hold enormous promise—but ensuring their quality and structural integrity is no small task. In this webinar, scientists from ProtaGene and Shimadzu present a practical LC-MS workflow to address these challenges head-on. By using tailored enzymatic digestion, dynamic collision energy optimization, and Protein Metrics software for confident oligo identification, the team achieved high sequence coverage and reliable detection of 5' cap structures. Whether you're working with vaccines or gene therapies, this session offers valuable insights into next-gen mRNA analytics.

What You Will Learn

  1. Tailored enzymatic digestion improves sequence coverage and reproducibility.
  2. Dynamic CE optimization reduces noise and improves fragmentation clarity.
  3. Cap structures and modifications can be confidently verified by LC-MS.
  4. Protein Metrics software enables reliable oligo matching and streamlined analysis.
